Overview:

AFM specializes in property insurance for the middle market.  We distribute our property insurance products and engineering solutions exclusively through a network of brokers.  We value long-term relationships that provide the realization of greater value by deploying the skills of our account engineers and production underwriters, supported by a team of account administrators.

There is an exciting opportunity for two Account Administrator positions on a 12-month fixed-term contract at AFM’s Frankfurt office to support the development of a growing portfolio of mid-market business in our region.   

If you enjoy working as part of an enthusiastic team, handling a varied workload and are customer-service oriented, this position is for you!  This position provides assistance to Production Underwriters and Account Engineers as well as fulfilling the department administrative needs.


Responsibilities:

Your main responsibility will be to produce and process policy documentation in accordance with corporate standards. You will also service new and renewal business, including logging prospects, coding data in appropriate systems, calculating terrorism premiums, constructing monthly reports, overseeing premium collection and filing. In addition, you support the Account Engineers in transmitting risk reports and maintaining logs.

You will also be expected to contribute to the translation and localisation of our products including our policies, brochures and website.  The successful candidate will maintain constructive and harmonious relations with all internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

  • Associates (2-year) degree in the field of insurance or equivalent.
  • Fluency in German and English required
  • Minimum two years of insurance related work experience supporting a work group, including direct interaction with both internal and external customers
  • Strong mathematical aptitude, proficient computer skills, including MS Office products (Word, Excel), typing speed and accuracy, attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize workflow from different sources.
  • A team player with above average communication and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workflow from different sources
