Supervises a team of individual contributors who exercise independence in assignments. Accountable for implementing operational plans and initiatives to achieve results. Participates in the development of policies and procedures.


Responsibilities:

  • Establishes project plans and directs the team in accomplishing operating objectives
  • Manages and develops the team
  • Liaises with HR Product on Workday functionality impacting benefits administration
  • Oversees documentation of processes and standard operating procedures
  • Develops metrics to assess effectiveness and efficiency
  • Identifies improvements, automation opportunities, and considers alternative service delivery approaches
  • Participates in the development and distribution of communications to HR, Managers, Employees and Retirees related to benefits administration
  • Provides benefits administration subject matter expertise to COE (Non Operations) to help inform design/development of programs
  • Manages the annual audit processes including collaborating closely with vendors and other internal teams and establishing a project plan for the team
  • Manages the relationship with benefits vendors and oversee the teams’ use of the related online tools. Liaises with COE (Non Operations) on any escalated or widespread issues
  • Prepares reports or sensitive data related to benefits administration for the CoE/Leadership

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7 years’ experience
  • Advanced knowledge of health and welfare and retirement benefit programs
  • Experience leading a team and ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Strong project management skills and experience developing processes and standard operating procedures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others to accomplish objectives, prioritize and resolve problems
  • Strong HRIS skills and experience with Workday, including configuration
  • Focus on achieving results
