The Marketing Strategic Partner works with marketing and business stakeholders to develop and implement marketing strategies and plans for global marketing campaigns. They are also responsible for overseeing the day-to-day aspects of marketing campaigns; and may work on other corporate and business unit projects as assigned.
Specifically, the Marketing Strategic Partner is responsible for the fulfillment of agreed-to Marketing strategies by coordinating the production of campaigns (including, for example e-mail, materials, content, public relations, advertising, ) for assigned business divisions; and ensures that all materials meet legal and regulatory compliance, reflect organizational marketing strategies, and align with brand.
They will work with other marketing professionals within the organization to get the work done; that is, this individual does not personally produce the campaigns but uses their skills, expertise, and experience in concert with the functional specialties’ resident in the Marketing team.
They will have to work with the organization’s internal and agency partners and others as advised.
The work model for this position is hybrid and can be based in Johnston, RI or Norwood, MA. 50% of time spent on-site, and 50% of work can be completed remotely. If Norwood, MA is the preferred location, employee will need to be able to commute and work in the Johnston, RI office on occasion and as needed per business requirements.
They are responsible for building relationships with Marketing, Client Service, Sales, and Operations peers within and outside FM Global to ensure collaborative marketing strategies and the best use of resources to achieve desired results.
Assigned business divisions will have marketing strategies and plans in alignment with the marketing strategy for FM Global and our Corporate and Operations objectives.
The marketing plans include journey-driven and account-based campaigns including deliverables such as paid media, sales collateral, Web content, e-mail, media relations, trade shows and events, etc. The campaigns will be produced within established brand guidelines and marketing strategy and vision to ensure consistent yet flexible messages and theme.
The FM Global campaigns will be implemented with clear objectives and success metrics tied to both brand and business goals and will be completed on time, within budget, and with measurable ROI.
Other projects as assigned will be handled within appropriate corporate guidelines and in collaboration with marketing and communications peers as well as business unit sponsors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business
Highly Preferred Education:
- Graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business
Required Work Experience:
- 6+ years of related experience is required (product marketing and brand marketing)
Highly Preferred Work Experience:
- 8-10 years of increasingly responsible communications positions in a corporate and/or agency setting
- Experience using groundbreaking media; digital marketing savvy
This individual thoroughly understands the business objectives of their assigned campaigns and know which marketing plans and tactics will support achieving the objectives at a global and regional level.
This position drives marketing planning for the assigned campaign and needs to be completely knowledgeable about how specific communications vehicles affect behavior and perceptions.
The Marketing Strategic Partner uses their knowledge of marketing to decide how best to prioritize plans and campaigns to achieve Corporate and Operations objectives. They recommend funding allocations within approved budgets that are appropriately structured to support the unit’s objectives within the greater whole of the organization.

The hiring range for this position is $110,900-$159,400 USD. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
