This position is open to candidates seeking remote opportunities. Candidate must be open to periodic travel to headquarters located in Johnston, RI dependent on business needs. Must be willing to work EST hours.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Lead team of HPC administrators
Work with representatives of the user community and other IT groups to develop solutions to meet advanced computing needs
Able to take ownership of projects or tasks and ensure they are completed
Architecture and administration of large Linux installations
Scripting, automation, provisioning, and configuration management
Virtualization and cloud orchestration (AWS/Azure/VMWare)
Web/database application hosting and high-performance computing (HPC)
Install and upgrade scientific applications (open source and licensed)
Manage application user lifecycle management
Perform unit testing
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience
Comptia A+/Server + Certification or equivalent experience
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred for Windows server roles
Comptia Linux+ and/or RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) preferred for Linux server roles
Experience / Knowledge /Skills
Very strong Linux experience
Effective configuration management
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good requirements analysis & documentation experience
Skill Sets
Linux system administration
Shell scripting
HPC – Infrastructure
The salary range for this position is $110,900 to $159,400. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
