The Senior Development Database Administrator (DBA) consolidates an extensive knowledge of database technologies with an in-depth understanding of application development tools and technologies. The primary requirement of this position is senior-level expertise and experience with development and administration of Oracle databases on a Windows platform. An in-depth working knowledge of SQL Server database development and administration is also required. Expertise in an Agile DevOps environment is important. Experience working in an organization transforming to Agile development is a plus. Expertise and experience with all aspects of Microsoft development (.Net, SQL Server, etc.) is preferred.
The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of Oracle-based development work including database design, development, package/ERP customization, implementation and enhancement. She or he will also be responsible for all Oracle database administration including database monitoring, tuning, upgrades and migrations. Areas such as workstream automation and standardization, database security, design, code review, unit testing, performance tuning, database monitoring & reporting of metrics, application integration and ETL support, etc. are also important.
Familiarity with multiple database platforms, cloud-based development, containerization is a plus.
A Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a database development role is preferred. 5+ years experience in one or a combination of the following: database development,
database administration in support of application development teams, application development requiring extensive database design and development, Agile development, DevOps, database-related process standardization and automation.
