This position is based in our Johnston, RI Global Headquarters and follows a 50% in-office hybrid schedule. 


The Senior Total Rewards Operations Analyst is responsible for the administration of Total Rewards programs in the US and Canada to ensure they are delivered in accordance with plan documents, regulatory requirements, internal process documents, and policies. This role assists in the development of compensation and benefits policies and programs. Applies advanced knowledge of compensation and benefits techniques, theories, methods, and practices. Works independently with minimal guidance.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert for compensation and benefit policies and programs in the US and Canada.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of plan compliance activities related to US and Canada benefit plans including regulatory filings and updates, notices, ACA mandates & reporting, plan audits, and employee benefit file transmissions to vendors, as required.
  • Provide counsel to employees on Total Rewards policies, practices, programs and guidelines and resolves complex and escalated matters.
  • Manages and monitors implementation and operation of HRIS systems as they relate to compensation and benefits administration. Will manage the exchange of information with carriers and external brokers for claim and utilization data, enrollment information and invoice review. Plays a lead role in partnership with the HR Product Team in configuration and testing during implementation of new functionality or system upgrades.
  • Researches and resolves complex issues for compensation, retirement and health and welfare benefit plans with minimal guidance.
  • Reviews and assesses efficiency of internal procedures and processes; document processes; recommends appropriate changes.
  • Compiles data used for cost/benefit analysis and performs basic analyses associated with annual audits.
  • Evaluates jobs below grade 18 for approval by the strategy team (COE).
  • Prepares compensation offers for below grade 18.
  • Supports survey participation and analysis/reporting. 
  • Train and mentor junior team members.
  • Process vendor invoices.
  • Assists with special projects and duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's Degree, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist or Certified Compensation Professional designation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in compensation, benefits or other related experience.
  • 5 years’ experience with US and Canada health and welfare and retirement benefit programs and administration
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation, including relevant federal and state laws
  • Ability to work independently and utilize strong problem solving skills and good judgment to make decisions.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Workday configuration a plus
  • Customer-focused, team oriented and results driven
  • Outstanding ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management, peers, and other business units, as well as external vendors.Maintains confidentiality while performing duties.

The hiring range for this position is $71,500 to $102,700. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
