Responsibilities:

Oversees and performs complex day to day operation of security infrastructure technologies (such asSIEM, UEBA, Firewall, AV/EDR, DLP) used to prevent, detect, and/or respond to security incidents including escalations from more junior team members.These operational and systems engineering activities include monitoring and responding to cyber security alerts and incidents.Participates in cyber security incident investigations and threat-hunting activities, and may lead incident response efforts.Manages ticket queues and responds to incident tickets received from the service desk.Additionally, processes change requests and ensures resolution of technology issues.

Responsible for daily security event monitoring andsubsequentinvestigation activities.In the event thata security incident has been found, follows enterprise incident response standard processes ensuring proper escalation.Additionally, handles security events escalated from more junior team members.

Leads efforts to implement ongoing improvements to security policies and infrastructure configurations which improve the effectiveness and efficiency of FMGlobal'sthreat prevention, detection, and response services.

Performs security assessments of business and technology initiatives, identifying gaps and supporting efforts to develop and implement solutions to mitigate those gaps.

Maintain familiarity with FM Global security standards and ensure processes exist to demonstrate compliance to those standards, and that technologies and security policies are implemented in support of those standards.

Stayabreastof changes in the threat landscape by following industry experts, publications, newsfeeds, and threat intelligence sources.Identifyways for FM Global to incorporate this information into ongoing security practices.

Maintains a high level of communication and teamwork both within security infrastructure services team and across other groups to successfully accomplish goals & objectives.

Maintains clear concise and accurate documentation for processes and configurations.  Ensure documentation is kept up to date and in the proper shared, accessible location.

Responsible for proactive threat hunting activities to seek out threats in the environment which might otherwise remain undetected by existing monitoring/prevention measures.

Developsaccurateestimates of time and effortrequiredto implement upgrade ormodifycomplex system configurations.Produces necessary work/test plans foraccomplishingthese efforts.Providesproject leadership and direction ofday-to-dayproject activities.

Qualifications:

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of5years of experience in information technology, security administration, business analysis, risk, audit, compliance, computer forensics, network perimeter security or other related discipline.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid Interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to coordinate activities with team members and other stakeholders.  
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must have a strong work ethic, great time management skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently or on a team
  • Ability to multi-task and change priorities with effective results.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one of the following areas: operating systems, databases, systems, networks, application development.
  • Strong knowledge of computer vulnerabilities, hacker methodologies and other threats.
  • Strong MS Excel and reporting skills required.  Experience usingPowerBIstrongly preferred.
  • Ability to leverage various trusted sources of information (articles, webinars, Internet, etc.) to gain accurate knowledge of current security threats, vulnerabilities, mitigating strategies to address them and then recommend and implement appropriate solutions for the FM Global organization.
  • Comprehensive understanding of at least one security, technical, or risk discipline.
  • Experience working with vendors and resellers, handling vendor/reseller relationships, and bringing available resources to bear to solve problems or realize opportunities.
  • Experience managing/leading projects and ability to produce any necessary artifacts.

Education

4 Year College Degree/Bachelors; Information Security / Assurance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience or technical training with a non-related degree.
