We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Solvency II Reporting Manager to join the International Finance Team based either from the Luxembourg, Maidenhead, London or Paris office.
Responsibilities:
The main responsibility of this position is to manage the review, filing and compliance of all Solvency II requirements in EMEA. This role will lead the Solvency II team to improve existing processes to ensure they are highly efficient and consistent.
This position will oversee and perform very complex Solvency II related regulatory and accounting work including the continued development of the Solvency II regulatory reports and filings.
The role will support management decision making and will provide forward looking insights in respect of the implications on capital requirements relating to internal and external factors.
As new regulatory requirements or organisational changes arise, this position will conduct analysis on the new rules or requirements and identify the impact on accounting policies, practices and procedures. This position will provide a specialised, technical skill set for use in a variety of financial and operational projects.
Another key responsibility of this position is to manage and review the risk appetite monitoring framework, in accordance with tolerances established by the Risk Management Committees.
This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining various internal policies in line with Solvency II requirements e.g. investment, technical provisions, actuarial function, expert judgement etc. for the regulated entities in EMEA.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Mathematics (or other business degree with strong relevant work experience)
- Minimum of 8 years Solvency II experience (e.g. capital modelling, ORSA calculation etc.)
- Professional qualification preferred (ACCA or equivalent)
- Proven management experience
- Advanced level of general accounting principles and practices
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Good project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency with financial systems and standard software applications (e.g. PeopleSoft, Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word)
