Responsibilities:

Interacts with various fields; New Business Executive, Account Engineer, Account Manager and/or Underwriter. This is to validate and process all prospect/client business interest data such as organizational structure, addresses, values, geographical facts, flood information, risk status, occupancy type, exchange rates, etc. in compliance with corporate and country specific requirements. This includes but is not limited to:

Managing the entire value collection process; preparing value request letter and spreadsheet templates in accordance with the Account Manager/client/broker requirements.

Formatting client value spreadsheets for compatibility within FM Global applications using Excel.

Researching and validating addresses using various address tools to maintain and improve data integrity.

Entering and updating client data for new prospects, renewals, and interim or anniversary adjustments into client servicing system.

Provides a detailed overview of the client value submission to the CST, identifies significant value changes, missing prospect/client business interest data and confirms new business interest data, and

Works with the client/broker to resolve any questions generated from the value spreadsheet to ensure correct data is gathered.

Global Programs: As a member of the client service team the Client Processing Specialist is responsible for planning, prioritizing and handling all tasks associated with processing a global program. These tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

Provides guidance and technical assistance on the current processing requirements to achieve company and operational objectives.

Liaises with internal offices worldwide to deliver accurate and timely service on accounts. Ability to understand and adapt to cultural differences is critical to successful written & verbal communication with global issuing offices.

Develops diverse knowledge of all protocols related to global products and services.

Process and issue documentation in a timely manner to ensure contract certainty and efficient cash flow in all territories.

Creates and issues new, renewal and endorsement policy documents in accordance with Account Manager quotes and in compliance with underwriting, processing, country, and statutory requirements.

Creates and issues accurate invoices and/or provides billing instructions to worldwide issuing offices. Consults with others on complex billing arrangements. Prepares Excel premium allocation spreadsheets.

Enters and manages prospect/client data and financial information in various systems. Accurately captures all limits of liability, sub-limits, deductibles, rates and any other required information particularly in natural hazards territories as underwriting and reinsurance decisions are made based on the company’s aggregate modeling in these areas.

Responds to client/broker email and telephone requests for certificates of insurance to third party interests often requiring same day service. Evaluates the type of insurable interest involved (Mortgagee, Additional Interest, Loss Payee, Lender, etc.) to be sure the interest and applicable terms and conditions are stated correctly on the certificate as this determines if the interest will share in any loss settlement.

Responds to internal and external customer inquiries and/or directs to appropriate personnel within established time frames. Provides backup coverage for inquiries during an Account Manager’s or coworker’s absence. Provides client service support on special assignments outside of the scope of the standard CPS accountabilities.

Maintains organizational, contact and document distribution information for assigned accounts. Generates and utilizes company canned reports to provide information to internal/external customers. Gathers and coordinates materials needed by the Account Managers for meetings and account reviews.

Assists Account Manager in handling underwriting support details including, but not limited to, managing/researching premium and value discrepancies, assist with collections/invoice follow up; client arrangement processing; global program management of policies and invoices. Assist Account Manager with RATS processing consisting of the review of risk quality indicators, create required location grouping, create FAL and other automated risk model linesettings, complete pre-bind validation reports and clear post bind errors.

Qualifications:

  • Education: College degree preferred
  • Experience: 2+ years’ experience in Commercial Property insurance, Accounting/Finance or related work experience.

Skills/Knowledge:

As related to and used in insurance processing:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of global property insurance, policy contracts, policy construction and billing practices.
  • Achieves a high degree of accuracy in handling information in the corporate proprietary systems.
  • Proficient in researching issues, identifying problems and finding solutions.
  • Attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Advanced computing skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong math aptitude and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to efficiently multi-task; plan and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and teamwork skills
