Responsibilities:
Maintain a profitable book of business through the effective use of sales techniques client relationships, risk assessments and the application of sound underwriting principles along with the creative use of underwriting resources. Provide professional advisory services and consultation to all clients on insurance coverages and risk management matters highlighting the benefits derived from various products and services offered by FM Global. Protect FM Global's assets through the creative use of the company underwriting programs and adherence to published guidelines which include, Linesetting techniques, judicious purchase of reinsurance, timely issuance of binders and policies, catastrophe aggregate analysis, MFL analysis and cross liability checks. Ensure continuing premium growth by retaining existing clients through value added service and establishing equitable terms and conditions on new accounts introduced by sales executives.
Qualifications:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Risk Management or a related field, and 5 years of chemical or other high hazard industry experience in servicing large property accounts for chemical or other high hazard occupancies in the broker insurance/reinsurance industries.
- Experience specified must include 3 years of experience with general loss prevention engineering terms and concepts; and 2 years of experience with Property Insurance and Forms.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires 25% regional travel to client sites. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days a week.
