Overview:

The San Francisco Operation's Engineering Processing Department in Walnut Creek, CA and Bellevue, WA has an immediate opening for a Field Engineer Assistant I. The Jurisdictional Engineering Assistant will support the timely delivery of jurisdictional services by scheduling inspection visits. This role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills who can communicate clearly with a variety of clients.


Responsibilities:

This role primarily includes scheduling for jurisdictional consultants. Scheduling includes contacting clients via phone and email, understanding the various types of visit requirements and due dates, and maintaining Outlook calendars for consultants to ensure productivity is maintained. Incumbents require strong customer service skills and interact with clients daily.

The Engineering Assistant must gain an understanding of jurisdictional information that includes the
requirements of each state, location information, the type of jurisdictional inspections and any special
instructions mentioned in company directives.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred, required High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of administrative experience supporting a work group and/or manager
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving and attention to detail
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • Advance working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Outlook
  • Customer oriented and able to work well in teams as well as the ability to adapt and understand
    cultural differences
