Responsibilities:

Shipper/Receiver Coordinator will perform and/or supervise general physical activities to unload and load trucks, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment. Manage verification, acceptance, and inputting into FM Approvals barcode inventory control system of all incoming test materials and generate receiving reports.Responsibilities:

Primary:

Safely and efficiently unload and load Test Materials without damage.

Record receipt of material and accurately maintain Inventory Control Database

Issue receiving reports to Project Engineers

Maintain and organize 25,000 SF warehouse.

Maintain and organize Flammable Storage Area

Contact carrier representative, make arrangements, issue documentation and instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.

Secondary:

Assist testing/certification team by delivering test materials to designated laboratories.

Conveys materials and items from/to receiving, warehouse, staging or shipping areas as directed.

Keep the supervisor informed of the status and progress of all work in process and of any significant developments affecting assigned projects.

Qualifications:

Education: High School / Trade School or Military specialist experience.

Experience: 3 years general shipping, receiving and inventory control experience. Proficient in the operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other associated warehouse equipment. Knowledge of building and construction materials a plus

Skills/Knowledge: Shipping/Receiving and Inventory Control Systems. Laboratory testing, product assembly, equipment repair, mathematical computation or data tabulation, use of laboratory test equipment and computer literacy.

Good mechanical skills with familiarity of material handling equipment, common hand tools/ power tools and the ability to work independently.

Excellent organizational, computer, communication, and customer service skills (both orally and in writing) and the ability to work effectively as a member of a team are required.

Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Ability to understand and follow English instructions.

Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds (unassisted) on a regular basis; up to 75 pounds occasionally.

Ability to walk, sit, stand and stoop comfortably to do the job.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents and to operate equipment.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction

Ability to operate power equipment safely and efficiently such as: cranes, forklifts, and other material handling devices, utilize ladders, operate tools such as, but not limited to, table saws, portable saws, hammer drills, screw guns and impact wrenches and be certifiable for the use of a respirator.

Candidate must possess good balance to regularly step on and off equipment and work from ladders and platforms to perform various tasks.

Valid Driver's License required.

Work environment involves fire, smoke, heat and the use of adhesives and binders.

The hiring range for this position is $53,800 to $77,300 USD. The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
