Sr. Consultant engineer
employee since 2007
I play a part in building a bright future that can weather any storm.
Many times, the safety of entire communities is influenced by our work. On one project in Florida, I worked with a client to make sure a critical 911 communications facility would be operable during and after a Category 5 hurricane. Advising them on things like how to protect vital generator systems and helping them make costeffective design decisions, I had a hand in building something truly substantial. In the end, our client was happy to have a partner that understood and worked with them to meet their unique needs.

When you join our UK Operations team as a Consultant Risk Engineer, you can leverage your engineering background to help clients mitigate potential disaster—saving property, businesses and lives.
Our engineers do not spend their days behind a desk. They are out in the field, working at the some of the UK’s largest industrial facilities to help prevent losses from fires, equipment breakdowns and natural hazards. You may find yourself evaluating a fire exposure at a pharmaceutical plant or a sprinkler system in a warehouse that will protect it from a major fire that could otherwise disrupt the total supply chain. It’s a hands-on job requiring high energy, self-motivation and creativity.
Your career will start with a structured training programme including self-study, e-based assessment and mentoring. In your first twelve months you will undertake three practical courses at our training facilities in the US. You will soon find yourself working independently, travelling to client facilities to help solve complicated technical issues and generate risk improvement.
Successful candidates will have the following knowledge, skills, abilities and experience:
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering.
- Two years plus industrial experience in an Engineering role.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.

- Valid UK driver’s license.
- Proficiency in MS Office products.
- The permanent right to live and work in the UK.
The role is initially based at our Maidenhead Office during the first twelve months, however once the training has taken place there is the ability to work from home on a regular basis. Candidates should be willing to travel extensively, primarily within the UK, but with some international travel.
Interested applicants should submit a CV and cover letter with an indication of their salary expectations.
