Responsibilities - External:
DUTIES: Perform risk identification, assessment & improvement, and ongoing loss prevention consulting services to ensure the development and growth of a profitable portfolio of business in an assigned territory, consistent with Corporate / Commercial Property policies, business strategies and objectives. Identify, evaluate and quantify risk characteristics and exposures at the location level, and the overall assessment of account risk quality at the corporate level. Assess the nature, magnitude and probability of loss, and determine the location risk characteristics that have the greatest impact on profitability. Provide professional consulting to the Insureds on loss exposure and prevention issues, project management, management of change, and priority risk improvement measures that have the greatest impact on loss frequency and severity.
Qualifications - External:
REQUIREMENTS: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any field) or related field of study and 2 years field engineering experience assessing commercial properties including manufacturing, warehousing and soft occupancies. Requires 2 years of experience in each of the following: Applying FM Global Standards / Data Sheets; Risk identification and assessment of hazards including various construction types, ignitable liquid processes, combustible dusks, complex manufacturing processes, supply chain and analysis, and human element programs; Loss prevention consulting and solutions providing; Generating loss expectancies for proper risk underwriting; Evaluating natural hazards exposures including earthquake, flood, and coastal wind; Utilizing assessment tools such as Visit Planner, SprinkCalc, Horizon, DustData, Roof Calc, MyVisit, Risk View, and Risk Console or industry equivalent; Driving risk improvements to benefit of client and profitability of company. Requires 25% domestic travel to client sites.
